Our Latest Issue:
Volume 4 Number 2 - June 2007

Inside this issue: Microscopy, For Sale List, RTS Video Showcase

Inside this edition of CentrePoints you will read about some of the exciting and engaging projects pupils have been involved in during recent visits to the CLC. The range of full day learning experiences is growing all of the time as schools work with us to plan activities specially tailored to their requirements. The list of possibilities is extensive but particular favourites include the 3D presentations (especially exploring the heart and walking through a Tudor town), exploration of the Solar System using Magic Planet, datalogging days, video projects using green screen technology and the whole range of Kar2ouche modules.

Secondary schools are also beginning to express an interest in the range of animation techniques we are able to demonstrate, the use of Media Stage as a virtual TV Studio and the way in which MissionMaker can be used as an integral part of KS4 delivery in digital applications.

At the present moment in time we are planning our booklet of activities for 2007-2008 which will include an invitation to all schools to book in for a fully funded visit to the CLC from September 2007.

If you are aware of a project that you might like some support with, now is the time to contact us and discuss the possibilities. A number of schools have visited us on several occasions during the current year and we would encourage those of you who have yet to sample a CLC experience to make sure that you don't miss out when the new programme is published.
